Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Galveston County, Texas. The job is on the moulding line. The role involves: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
