Vertical milling machine operator wanted in Ketchikan Gateway Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. Requirements: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience Your main tasks: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed $230 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
