Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Coles County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
