Garment machinist wanted in Citrus County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Citrus County, Florida. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. Day to day you will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
