Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Phillips County, Colorado. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding Six days a week, one day off.
