Join our team: we are hiring a finishing presser in Jefferson County, Illinois. The job is at a dry cleaner's. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings On the job you will handle: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Give each garment a final press before packing 2+ years on the tools preferred.
