Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Bonny, Rivers State. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. The role involves sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. You should have: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
