GTAW welder • West Carroll Parish, Louisiana

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a GTAW welder in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana. You will be based on a structural steel site. You will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 1+ years on the tools preferred.
