Gas meter installer — Kauai County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Kauai County, Hawaii. You will work in customers' homes and kitchens. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls Ideal candidate: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
