Now hiring: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Rockbridge County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work Your main tasks: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe Pay around $22 per hour, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
