Great opportunity: lift installation engineer (Illinois)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in McHenry County, Illinois. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work On a typical shift you will mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; measure rope tension and check for broken strands; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Pay around $4,400 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
