Great opportunity: stainless steel welder (Alaska)

Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Prince of Wales-Hyder Census Area, Alaska. You will be based in a pharmaceutical piping facility. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight On the job you will handle: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints 3+ years on the tools preferred.
