Sheet metal welder • Meade County, South Dakota

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Meade County, South Dakota. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
