Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights and steady balance • Strong enough to lift tile packs and felt rolls all day The role involves: • Nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses • Replace cracked or slipped tiles and slates • Fit valley gutters, fascias and soffits • Lay underlayment and tar paper before tiling • Hang box gutters and downpipes for rainwater • Erect and dismantle roof edge protection and scaffolding Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
