Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Roane County, West Virginia. You will be based at a busy lift company. Day-to-day duties: • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake You should have: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits.
