Metal caster — Marin County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a metal caster in Marin County, California. Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
