Restoration bricklayer • Alameda County, California

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Alameda County, California. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. The role involves cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
