Now hiring: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Salt Lake County, Utah. The job is at a shipyard. Day to day you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; read lift plans and method statements before starting. You should have: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Confident with standard crane hand signals At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
