Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc turning machinist in City of Lexington, Virginia. The job is at a busy machine shop. The role involves change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; write and edit G-code programs at the control; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles. Ideal candidate: • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided.
