We are recruiting: sample machinist (Maryland)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sample machinist in Howard County, Maryland. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. You will operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. What we are looking for: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
