Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Grant County, Kansas. Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Day to day you will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
