Refrigeration service engineer — Pipestone County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a refrigeration service engineer in Pipestone County, Minnesota. The job is on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. Your main tasks: • Measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter • Trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution • Install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets • Read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch Ideal candidate: • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Willing to work at heights and inside cold rooms • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $25 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
