Sheet metal welder — Spalding County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Spalding County, Georgia. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Day-to-day duties: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run 2+ years on the tools preferred.
