We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Polk County, Iowa. The role involves: • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls Ideal candidate: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches Six days a week, one day off. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
