Machine operator (earthworks) wanted in Jefferson Davis Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a drainage and utilities contractor. Ideal candidate: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones Day-to-day duties: • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
