What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Your main tasks: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Part-time with flexible hours.
