Urgent requirement: we are hiring a production machine operator in Botetourt County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills The role involves: • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing 5+ years on the tools preferred.
