Metal caster wanted in Carroll County

Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Carroll County, New Hampshire. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $4,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
