Now hiring: port container crane operator (Maine)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Franklin County, Maine. You will work in a steel fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block You should have: • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Able to read load charts and lifting plans Rotating shifts.
