Immediate opening: MIG/MAG welder (Vermont)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Windham County, Vermont. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings The role involves: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
