The role involves: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level 6+ years on the tools preferred.
