Chiller technician • Manitowoc County, Wisconsin

Vacancy available: we are hiring a chiller technician in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. The job is on a customer's rooftop chiller plant. Day-to-day duties: • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system Ideal candidate: • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
