Great opportunity: we are hiring a JCB operator in Greene County, Iowa. You will work at a road and highway construction project. Ideal candidate: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing You will backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift.
