Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards The role involves: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
