TIG welder — Central Bedfordshire

Immediate opening: we are hiring a TIG welder in Central Bedfordshire, England. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You will weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 6+ years on the tools preferred.
