We are recruiting: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Haakon County, South Dakota. The job is at a busy gas installation company. Day-to-day duties: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints You should have: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
