Machinist wanted in Lawrence County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Lawrence County, Alabama. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Full-time with occasional weekends.
