Safety officer — Dare County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Dare County, North Carolina. You will be based on a road and infrastructure project. The role involves: • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates You should have: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
