Vacancy available: concrete pump mate (Michigan)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Montcalm County, Michigan. The job is on a building construction site. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage On a typical shift you will load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $150 per day, based on your experience.
