Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Darlington, England. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer Requirements: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 5+ years on the tools preferred. £1,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
