Vacancy available: foundry operative (Missouri)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Putnam County, Missouri. Your main tasks: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
