Trowel-trade bricklayer • Morgan County, Alabama

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Morgan County, Alabama. You will work on a busy housing site. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Day to day you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
