Ladle pourer — Nassau County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Nassau County, New York. Day to day you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Full-time, day shift.
