Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Manatee County, Florida. Day to day you will bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
