Gtaw welder • Todd County, Kentucky

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Todd County, Kentucky. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day-to-day duties: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
