Tig welder — Salt Lake County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tig welder in Salt Lake County, Utah. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Own basic hand tools and PPE Day-to-day duties: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Rotating shifts. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
