Stitching operator • City of York, England

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stitching operator in City of York, England. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Day-to-day duties: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer £3,150 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
