Requirements: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish Rotating shifts. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
