We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Steuben County, New York. What we are looking for: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges On the job you will handle: • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
