Join our team: we are hiring a panel welder in York County, Maine. You will work in a heavy engineering unit. Your main tasks: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead You should have: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $2,800 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
